This blood test checks for antibodies to the sexually transmitted disease, chlamydia. Many people can be carriers of Chlamydia and not know that they are infected. Note that this test is simply a blood test. A penile or vaginal swab is not needed for this test, so it is comfortable, dignified, and convenient. Furthermore, it may take a few weeks for antibodies (detected by this blood test) to a Chlamydia infection to develop.
